I've said for a long time. In conservatives think Liberals are wrong. We might even think they are stupid. We might even think their ideas are dangerous. But generally speaking we assume they really believe what they think based on looking at the problems of the world and just coming to really bad conclusions
They don't pay us the same level of respect at all. They don't look at me and assume that I observed the problems of the world and evaluated potential Solutions and came to my conclusions. They look at me as being entirely motivated by hate. The only reason why I think X Y or Z is because I'm some form of ism.
I used to think it was just rhetoric. I used to think they just said that shite because it worked. But no they really believe it. And if someone believes that about you eventually they're going to act on it or you're going to stop them from acting on it. It is completely impossible to vote your way out of that problem

I don't mind stupid. On either side. I mean it's not ideal but I don't mind it. Stupid is just having terrible conclusions regarding the problems of the world. I can disagree with a person with stupid individual ideas all day long and probably have a beer with him on Saturday at the barbecue anyway
Liberals don't think conservatives are motivated by stupidity. And that's the problem. It would be a massive step up if liberals just assumed conservatives were motivated by stupidity

Because you absolutely are. I just don't treat you like your evil and dangerous like your side does. Demographics destroyed moderate politics. The radical left and right were always there but made up probably 10% of the white population when the nation was 90% white
As demographics changed the radical left adopted all the minority groups and convinced them they were victims to gain a foothold in political power. The resulting shift forced a lot of normal white voters further right causing a massive divide.
Trump and MAGA actually closed the divide by bringing a much larger percentage of minorities particularly normal working class blacks and Hispanics to the right but what we are now seeing is what remains of the left lashing out violently in opposition rather than shifting to more moderate stances to gain back lost voters. The left is now made up of radicals and freaks and deadbeats. Literally the worst of society

Yeah, the "other side" doesn't think this. It's no more reality than some liberals thinking the police were out there hunting black people in 2020. They got fed a couple of bad videos over and over, and missed out on the other 30 million non-violent encounters with police. Whatever you are reading or watching is giving you only the crazy, and not the 99.9% of stuff that is absolutely boring.
