Fatkid,
Question....If two guys in a pick up start yelling at you to stop then drive past you, cut you off and one gets out of the truck with a shotgun.....would you say that is.....a tad bit THREATENING??????!!!! Assuming that you did not do anything and you are unarmed?

Apparently many of you do not understand what "cold blood" means.

No idea and it's not really relevant. These guys are idiots and had no reason to track this guy down in this manner. Regardless, the video isn't as bad as Joe (and others) make it out to be. If anything I have more questions then answers. For one, why did Ahmaud engage a guy with a gun? Is it possible that Ahmaud didn't realize these guys were armed? Also, he isn't wearing running clothes, which is odd for someone going out on their daily run.

Not sure. I’m just finding this now in the NYT story. Barnhill is the DA.

“Fits the description” isn’t probable cause for a citizen arrest.

And the video wasn’t from the same day, unless it’s a different video than we know about.

quote:

Gregory and Travis McMichael told police that Arbery matched the description of someone caught on a security camera committing recent break-ins in the neighborhood.

Georgia’s citizen arrest law says that
quote:

the offender must have committed a crime in the presence of another person, or that person must have "immediate knowledge" of a crime that has taken place by the perpetrator

The DA from the office where Gregory McMichael used to be an investigator?

There was a 911 call that a black male was inside a home that was under construction. That is much different than "inside a house" (if it even was him in the 1st place.)

People ITT actually defending these blatant murderers just because sleepy Joe commented on it The only reason these men arent in handcuffs is because they have connects with their police department.

I really did think racism wasn't that much of a problem until I moved to Georgia. Forsyth county is filled with cartoonishly racist psychopaths, its absolutely unreal. IDK where Ahmaud was shot but it shows the problem in Georgia isnt limited to Forsyth

It would not matter that he was the burglar. The Georgia law would not even apply since they really did not have immediate knowledge. Immediate would be that the McMichaels sae Arbery leaving the house with stolen goods. If this was from an incident from days before, McMichael's position becomes even shakier....and if they did not have a clear description of the perp no pics on them, etc.,and they were not the victims, then they are nothing more than vigilantes.

Two armed men, who are not police, chased and confronted him. That is assault even before any contact is made. Furthest they should have gone is follow and let police know where he is. Not buying he was an innocent jogger anymore, but those two are toast. They didn’t stand their ground, they chased and initiated a confrontation.

Here is what the prosecutor said in the NYT: “ Mr. Barnhill stated that video exists of Mr. Arbery “burglarizing a home immediately preceding the chase and confrontation.”

Lol... same story every time, and when the white guys are eventually acquitted you will say the justice system is racist. No progress will be made because you can’t separate emotion from a story that has no impact on your life.

No. You have demonstrated that you are a blithering idiot that knows nothing of this case. If I am wrong give me the timeline of what happened.
