Hmmm. Greater viral load means more virus in their body.
I have never heard this with any virus. Normally, a greater viral load means your sicker and have worse outcomes.
For example, with HIV, viral load reduction is equated with more effective drug treatment and a healthier patient.
So how is it that the covid vacinated are protected somehow yet have greater viral loads?
Does this make sense?

The viral load is just in the extremities. The nose and throat. That’s not where the virus does damage.

I believe greater viral load is relative to other strains not relative to unvaccinated.

Can you link that because I can't find it. Searching for "covid viral load" gives a lot of quotes that say that both vaccinated and unvaccinated have higher viral loads than other variants.

I just did. They are taking about viral loads for delta variant for vacinated and unvaccinated. CDC said yesterday they are the same.
I've now read reports that say they are higher, lower and the same for the vaccinated. So reports are all over the place
