I loved paying $30 to fill up my tank each week. Now it is over $72 to fill her up.

Why did Biden do that?

You should join Maxine Waters in advocating for the Fed government to take over the US oil & gas industry.

Good, when Trump lifts regulation on the oil and gas industry prices should fall to below $2.00 a gallon like they were when he left office.

look even with pro oil bush prices got as high as over 4 bucks a gallon back in 2007 if i recall. even the POTUS cannot control everything in the industry. there are lots of factors here and with other countries.

trump has to watch it and toe the line again. he can lower prices with what he will allow policy wise but if it goes too low they will stop drilling if it is not profitable. has to find happy medium like he did last time.

inb4 muh big oil profits

What was the price of oil when did the massive SPR sale trying to bring down oil prices?

The average price per barrel sold by the Biden Admin from the SPR was $95 per barrel. The average price of the purchases to refill the SPR by the Biden admin is $77.18 per barrel.

Need more gasoline refineries, which I'm not opposed to since that's my homeland's bread and butter and we'd get even more economically secure.

Then how does it work, please explain?

Why was gas less than $2.00 a gallon when Trump was in office and now over $3.00? When you have an administration that attacks the industry and adds regulations and restrictions on drilling, shuts down pipelines, etc. the price goes up. Drill baby Drill.

nope. He's probably not interested in important natural gas from Canada.

It didn’t get below $2.00 as the national average till Covid government shutdowns. Just look at a data chart for once.

Agree, but if you want GASOLINE prices to drop more, then we also need to Refine baby Refine.

There are like 100 factors and there are lots of people in the business who can explain it better.

But regulations don't help. It's incredibly expensive (and construction takes a long time so you invest tens of billions and won't turn a profit for 10+ years). There are more profitable petro exports (like LNG). The price of oil will fluctuate over the period of construction, making the investment even riskier (and you lose profits from the alternatives during this time).
