It's the sheer numbers. Most of us can agree the current programs need to be re-evaluated. That doesn't mean we have to get childish with the insults, but some people have different values like being ok with making shite up.

How many people in Texas are citizens with Illegal Immigrant parents due to birthright citizenship? I bet that number is very high. Texas is lost.

when you reduce "merit" to just numbers, this is what happens. But now, the race blind admissions laws forbids considering race. Whether or not you believe it, racial admissions helped white kids too
those spots at universities weren't being taken by the few black and latino kids that were there. it was always the asians and indians. The ivy leagues will be 50% asian soon if not more.

FYI, just like Mexicans, many Indians are crossing the border, but unlike Mexicans, they enter from the Northern border. It is well known that they get to Canada, then come here. That or they simply overstay their visas.

Indians are the fifth most represented Illegal Immigrant population in America behind Mexico, Honduras, El Salvador, and Guatemala.

Okay so you have a point. maybe my defintion of illegal is too narrow
but my point is that a lot of people, maybe not you, are moving the goal posts. People wanted a pure merit system, but that only looks at the numbers. it doesnt leave room to consider other factors
