Trump is a reality TV star who only cares about himself. DeSantis actually cares about this country and wants what’s best for it. He came from a working-class background unlike Trump which makes it more obvious who’s the better candidate: DeSantis

DeSantis shows no ability to run his campaign with any confidence. The question I have for DeSantis supporters, if he cannot run a campaign, how will he run our nation?

I think he did a good job in Florida, but he had the legislature helping him. His campaign is all DeSantis, its his test and he is failing it. Basically DeSantis is folding like a lawn chair right now. He honestly does not seem to be able to make good executive decisions...

I've said a million times on this board that I'll vote for either Trump or Desantis, whoever faces Biden or Newsom in the general. So in case that wasn't clearly articulated already, I'll vote for either Trump or Desantis, whoever faces Biden or Newsom in the general.
Thank you. I wish all Trump supporters were pragmatic like you.

Sorry about that, but it appears that most Trump supporters totally ignore his disapproval numbers and only see the size of his rallies.

Trump’s negatives are what worry me and make me believe he will have a tough time winning the GE. There are so many people that will not vote for Trump regardless of his opponent. They won’t just “sit this one out” and not vote if Trump is on the ballot. He’s literally fricking Hitler to them. They will vote against him in record numbers again.

DeSantis doesn’t have those problems. His approval numbers are going to improve drastically during the debates. I guaranteed you that independents that have to choose between Biden and DeSantis will vote DeSantis by a large margin. Can’t say that for Trump vs Biden with independents.

I just know that DeSantis will absolutely win the independent vote over Biden by a large margin and may get some votes from Biden voters who are unhappy with Biden’s performance. No one that voted for Biden is voting for Trump.

I don't agree with this. Trump truly loves this country and wants to make it better. Unfortunately he makes half of the country lose their fricking minds and was totally fricked over by the Deep State and Democrats in his first term.

I'd take it one step further. I think Trump would be ok as a President, I just think he's in it for himself and his own ego as much as he is for any movement at this point. I just think Ron would be great and will gladly vote for him due to him making Florida a much better place to live for my family and I. I want a real conservative to be president.

DeSantis believes in the things he runs on.

Trump only says what he thinks will get him votes.

Campaign Trump-"I'm so strong on the second amendment. The strongest!"

In office Trump-"I don't like assault rifles."

Also;

"I like taking guns away early. Take the guns first, go through due process second."

Absolutely. These Trumptards near messianic devotion to their cult leader is extremely disturbing. DeSantis alone among the potential candidates is all sweetness and light!

What about his last gubernatorial campaign? He won by 20 fricking points.

Give the guy a break, it’s his first presidential campaign and it’s literally been two months since he announced.

Trump will be the only person that has trouble winning independents against Biden.

I agree, but I am not sure DeSantis is the answer. He seems to be unable to run his campaign right now. He is following too many people's advice, he is not doing well. He may be able to turn it around. I watched him in the fight with Igar and he is ok, but he just have problems right now with his messaging.

I kind of nodded my head to this as a big BDR guy, but also, respect the tenuous situation his advisers are in with trying to soft attack Don without alienating a formidable block of thin skinned MAGA hooligans

Say what you will, but it’s a tall order

Bad strategy. I understand what you are saying. It trying to run a general campaign during primary season. He should go full double barrel at Trump. Unload on his shortcomings as a leader and a person. Beat Trump and then watch those thin-skinned voters pull the lever for you when the choice is between DeSantis and Biden.

It basically comes down to electability. We know DeSantis will win the general election if he gets the nomination. He’s more articulate and likable. He would definitely win the independent vote and get back a lot of the suburban women vote. And don’t give me your fricking bullshite excuses like he’s a RINO or he has no experience or he’s fake. You fricking loved him before he announced his run. He’s the most successful and popular conservative governor in the country. Y’all sound like Democrats that loved Trump before he ran for president and then declared him literally Hitler.

Electability? Trump won by a landslide both times he ran & will again.

Cries of desperation. You admitted they cheated Trump. Why do you think they wouldn't cheat Desantis? Unless Desantis is part of the DC establishment and they leave him be?
