If we are able to get the worst thugs off the street (a very small % of violent crimes are committed by the same ones over and over), and change the culture, this country will be in a much better place in the future.

At first glance, my impulse is to say that there is no constitutional authority for this request. However, after looking at it and actually reading the request, it makes perfect sense in that the military/national guard would assisting federal law enforcement (such as ICE) in the apprehension and removal of illegals in the area. This is not a request to use any part of the military or national guard to support local law enforcement or to even attempt to enforce anything other than federal law that has already been established as under the authority of the federal government and not that of the states or municipalities.

Is there a lot of crime in rural GA because of the liberal voters in Atlanta?

Atlanta is different in that the liberal mayor, liberal council, liberal DA office are actually tough on crime and don't demonize the police department, and actually work with them. There's crime in Atlanta, but the people haven't been completely abandoned by woke local leaders the way many of the other big cities have.
