I certainly don't want to defend the media, but I saw this story on ABC news days ago, and they showed the picture of this dude and said that he was the main suspect.
I don't normally watch any of those channels, but I got bored of channel flipping and that story came on. I was fully prepared for it to be some huge white racist story, and then I saw the picture. I was quite surprised they actually showed that.
