The Supreme Court has just taken up a major abortion case

It's a case that challenges Roe v. Wade.
This could end up rolling back abortion rights now that there is a 5-4 conservative majority (Roberts is hardly what I would call a "conservative").

So many bigger issues in this country than abortion.

Abortion is a huge states rights issue.

Yep. So many bigger issues in the country right now than legalized murder. Agreed 100%.

How will Roberts screw this up?

Not to the people who will be aborted.

Moralize over rioting leftists? Isn't that his usual schtick?

So many bigger issues than murdering and dismembering hundreds of innocent babies every day? All under the guise of "my body, my choice"?
I have no confidence in the Supreme Court to challenge Roe v. Wade.

Maybe you don't understand the purpose of the SC. They are not a legislative body in spite of how the Democrats think of them. The Supreme Court simply deals with appeals that come to them, what you really don't want is for them to pass up on a case because they didn't think it was a priority timing wise due to politics. Think about where that leads.
It's also not like Roe was a major issue at the time when it was decided. The SC just decided to jump feet first into what was accepted as a clear states rights issue even though the overwhelming majority opposed abortion at the time, especially in the states where it was illegal (it was legal in 20 states, illegal in 30).

In a way the issue is a microcosm of our dying culture. No objective value of life is generally accepted and materialism over accountability for selfish lifestyles. All good, to each their own, but our birthrate is going to kill us.

There is no bigger issue than killing innocent children.
It is one of the main reasons God has lifted His hand from this nation, and left us to our own devices.

Roberts and Kavanaugh will side with the far left.

I wouldn't get your hopes up.
I think this is a West Coast Hotel Co. v. Parrish-type case. That is the famous case that coined the phrase "A Switch In Time Saved Nine".
Just a guess, but I think this may be John Roberts' (and perhaps another "conservative" justice) attempt to dissuade the Dims from packing the Court.
Look for the Court to rule against Mississippi and hold the 23 week standards as the Law of the Land. It will make the Dims attempt to pack the Court appear to be unwarranted because the Court ruled in the Dims favor on the most important Supreme Court issue for most far left wing whackjob libs.
I believe that this will be just the latest example of Roberts using the Court for political theater. And, this is laughingly the SCUMBAG who claims to want to take politics out of the Court.
Again, just my guess.

They need to send the issue back to the states. This is a states rights issue.
But they will cuck out.

Many don't understand that overturning Roe will not rid the USA of abortion. It will still be legal in a majority of states.

Is this the Mississippi case?
They aren't really tackling much. They only granted certiorari on the first question..."Whether all pre-viability prohibitions on elective abortions are unconstitutional."
They can find some nitpicky way to rule on this without really overturning Roe.

I'm going to go ahead and call this one now: the effective outcome is nothing changes.
