You people are arguing the smell of pot is bothering your feelings therefore it should be illegal.

Liar.

Make your case.

Are you arguing now that the smoke is irrelevant and no additional laws are necessary? Because this was the OP.

Well I hope those who supported the legalization of drugs are happy.

Addiction isn’t dependency, moron. You should shut up about stuff you don’t know anything about.

frick off. I'm under no obligation to convince you I didn't say something I've never said. If you read my posts in this thread and you have any intelligence left you should have figured out my view, but one or both of those conditions have clearly not been met.

I don’t think that expressing the need for certain governmental functions to keep a society cohesive and looking out for the rights of all the governed equates to being a statist nor a big government lover. Let’s be real for a moment here. Most on this forum don’t care for big government but by the same token, there is a place for certain functions that keeps a safe and level playing field in place for all individuals.

The fact that you’re putting words in every other posters’ mouths ITT should tell you something.

I have not advocated banning pot. Nor have I even intimated pot is “dangerous.”

I'll bet mamaw scared the shite out of you didn't she?

I don’t know how apartment dwellers can even function. I visited a friend in an apartment building last week and the entire building reeked of weed. He said it’s smelled like that since Missouri passed medical marijuana.

Dependent users. Absolutely.

I want to shame people dependent on alcohol, too. It’s worthy of shame. Almost all dependency issues are worthy of shame.

new york city has weird rules on where you can smoke cigerettes. you could have seen this coming in a city where everyone smokes outside. they need to let establishments let people smoke weed inside. Have you been to Vegas in the last 2-3 years? you can see 5-10 people smoking weed on outside of casino's.

This is an interesting thread with a lot of people conflating what people should expect out of a functional orderly civilized society with "freedom."

I'm good if people are as free to consume pot as they are alcohol.

I don't want to see a drunk on every street corner and in every other vehicle on the road anymore than I want to see pot smoke wafting from such places, though.

I guess maybe I'm naïve in thinking there can still be societal expectations that exist outside of our laws.

You're angry simply because your delicate nostrils have to smell weed.
