Ennh, we are a bit better than where we were headed under Biden.

And, what happened to Roger? He was gone, came back and gone again. I appreciated his posts. Hope hes just temporarily banned or just bored with the board.

I wouldn't want you banned either. I need different opinions.

Same. That’s exactly why, even though I’m usually in the minority on most issues here, this board is still my primary outlet for political discussion. The Second Amendment is probably the biggest exception, and I’m such an absolutist on that one that I’m arguably even further right on that than most people here.

I want a forum where my ideas challenged and tested, not another echo chamber where everyone agrees with me and we just trade upvotes for repeating the consensus.

I realize I’m probably in the minority on that here too. Some of these dudes LOVE an echo chamber

Uhh, you've been around here for a long time. I dont recall you being terribly out of step with the board overall, even if it has grown more inarticulate in its expressions of those beliefs.

And they're visibly upset when it's not enough of an echo chamber

That's why you get the periodic threads about "anyone notice more libs around here lately?" when it's simply people disagreeing with MAGA for the most part and not even espousing liberal positions. Even the anti MAGA crowd here is for the most part still heavily right leaning. Which is what makes the MAGA purists such comical punching bags in the first place.

I'm still in step with a lot of people but the majority and I largely split in 2016 for some reason.

And a large portion of my posts are in the evolution vs creationism debates and I'm definitely an outlier in those.

I didn't cash any check, but, I can still appreciate Roger's positions. Regardless of any hypocrisy, some of his arguments stood up.

Roger, SFP, and wackatimesthree have sounded the alarm over and over. The rise of DSA shouldn't be a surprise to anyone.

The board definitely "evolved" around that time. We lost good posters like Sentrius who, I suppose, got tired of criticism for less than 100% fealty.

Id bet at least 75% of the posters on this board are on the evolution side. The most vocal about that are going to be the zealots, and they'll go forever on those threads.

I had participated in more than those than I would like to admit back in the day. Some perhaps before you were posting here.

Then religious threads became taboo. Except for the ones that they allow now.

Maybe but they must not participate in those threads where I'd invert that number. Either way, not the subject of the thread so I'll leave it there.

Not that any of you boys would ever be able to come up with a rational explanation, but how does this “Trump apologist and unconditional defender of Trump receive so much more red than green in looking at my post history? How do you square that fact in the backdrop of this so-called “Trump/MAGA echo chamber?”

I appreciate that the allow some, but you have to know any argument from either side is fruitless.

He spends more than Obama and Biden

I don’t care about spending. I care about net profit. I don’t know what the actual numbers are. But I at least still believe that Trump’s ego is stronger than his greed. He wants to be remembered as the guy who restored America to greatness. It’s a fool’s errand, but I respect him for trying. It’s necessary. Obama wants to be remembered as the guy who fundamentally changed America. And he will be. Biden just wants to remember. Unfortunately, he will not.

I’m not sure. He was banned for no good reason in my estimation.

He was vilified by a sect for simply sharing a different opinion.

This place used to tolerate that.

I never got one. I paid for yours and probably 30.25 other individuals counting Trump and Biden. You're welcome.

But I thought he was released from the Phantom Zone. Did he get banned again? I know he was in questionable health.
