Next is getting rid of RFS requirements, right? Stop requiring corn ethanol in gasoline.

Keep the momentum going.

Which won’t be worth shite as soon as we end up with another Dem President. Congress needs to pass a law restricting the ability of these agencies to regulate auto emissions or fuel usage.

Perhaps they can grow food. There are a lot of hungry people around the globe.
You do realize that corn farmers get tax-payer funded subsidies to grow corn for ethanol production, right? More money than if they grew it for food. Meanwhile, we are sitting on an ocean of oil.

The politician that has national political aspirations is doomed in heavy corn growing States if he comes out against ethanol.

It might if the Dems oblige us by taking it to SCOTUS.

Congress doesn't WANT that responsibility, that's why they've punted to the administrative state. They don't want to vote on hard things that may put them at odds with their voters.

Since the creation of the domestic market for corn ethanol after the energy crisis of the 1970s, the federal government has nurtured and maintained the ethanol industry with a steady stream of subsidies. Originally sold as a way to achieve energy independence and reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, ethanol has been a favorite of policymakers from the Corn Belt. Ethanol producers have received favorable treatment under the tax code, tariff protection from foreign competition, a government mandate for its use, infrastructure subsidies, and more. As a result, taxpayers have spent tens of billions of dollars over the last 40 years subsidizing the mature biofuel. Decades of subsidies have failed, however, to reduce climate risks and serve as a bridge to next-generation, non-food-based biofuels, while spurring several unintended consequences, wasting taxpayer dollars, and distorting markets.

That's bullshite. There's been a thriving domestic market for corn ethanol since at least the late 1700s.

They just started mixing it with gasoline in the 1970s.

Agreed! But, that is a food staple.......at least in my house. Fuel for my car and truck is a whole other animal.
