The entire notion that people are too dumb to be able to get a photo ID (that they already have) and show that ID (that they already have) to prove they're citizens says more about the people who believe they're too dumb to do the above than it does anyone else.

It's a nice political play that we could use, but they'll just pivot and the media will back them per usual.

AOC will go "you want a mother of 7 working 11 jobs to take off time to go across the county without a car while her kids wait at piano lessons and STEM tutoring and she's pelted with rocks by white supremacists just to combat non-existent fraud? And you think 10 dollars is sufficient?"

The Dems won't accept a solution. They want to steal votes and it's easy when you can't prove who you are with an ID. Don't over think this for a second.

We spent too much money and effort taking care of these people already.

If you’re an honorably discharged vet and do not have you’re dd214 you’re a dumbass

If you don’t have your original BC or marriage license you’re just lazy or disorganized

quote:

Instead of spending billions overseas for laundering purposes, why don’t we just stop sending out ridiculous foreign aid, and take 100 million dollars to pay the ids through the state’s DMVs and call it a day

That is a great idea that will set a fair standard for election security and identification.

The problem with the proposal, however, is that common sense security is not what the SAVE act is designed to do. It is DESIGNED to create barriers to voting. One barrier is obtaining the special ID that must be required. That takes time, money, actually knowing what kind of ID you need, and the physical and practical ability to go out and get it.

With that barrier alone, Republicans figure that they can exclude 34 million Americans from voting.

That is the goal of the legislation.

No.

If you can’t pay for an ID or if you are too dumb to figure out a way to save $20 for something so important, then sorry you can’t vote.

You can just get on your $1,000+ iPhone and post on social media that the racist government is disenfranchising you

This is 2026. Not 1926.
