Was just reading about the Goodyear presentation where HR explained that BLM and LGBT clothing and symbols were allowed but MAGA and Blue Lives Matter was considered hate speech.

Got me to thinking. Human Resources is full of divorced women who are man haters and the most likely corporate environment to attract the woke. And they have way more control than they need to, at least at companies and organizations that I have worked for.

The HR guy busted me with a Trump sticker on my personal laptop the other day when I was spacing out at corporate in the sales area after hours - luckily we had played tennis together a month ago and are kind of friends or else I’d have been worried.

Regulations are what caused the rise. Compliance is a fricking nightmare

They’re a bunch of Karens who’ve taken over corporate America. My old company was like working for the government because of them.

No doubt. They like to focus on being woke instead of actively addressing true reported issues. Lady client of mine in Seattle spent 6 months begging HR to help her with harassment from her immediate supervisor and her boss. They literally did nothing until she was able to find a different position in the same company and get away from them.

Oh, both the supervisor and her boss were women too.

We were lucky to have a department where the folks knew they were the middlemen between overzealous regulation and the people trying to do their jobs (us). They hated the regulation as much as some of the rest of us.

There's no doubt in my mind that you are right about this. One of the first things I learned out of college is that the HR Dept. at the company where I went to work was a joke. Always putting on seminars, management programs, etc. Giving a presentation in front of a group of employees, these HR people were the forerunners of what we now call virtue-signalers. But have a one-on-one meeting with them or just try to have a casual conversation with them in private, and it didn't take 5 minutes to figure out how phony they were.

And what was really crazy was, these jerks were promoted more than employees in any other department. I guess it was because they were always getting facetime with upper management.

And they're much worse now than when I started working (talking in general. I haven't worked at my first company for sometime now).

But yeah, didn't take me long to figure out how FOS most HR people were. It's almost like SJW's had 2 choices back then. Either go into the teaching profession or, if they were lucky, get a job in a decent-sized company's Human Resources Department (paid much better).

Good old, bad old Arkla, Inc. (no longer the name of the company).

That is astonishing to read as the woman makes a claim in direct conflict with the policy she is supporting while defending the policy

Sounds like the grounds for a good law suit.

The entire purpose of HR existing is to protect the company and upper management from low-level employees who might find occasion to sue. That's it. They get paid 50-90k/yr to scour the rulebook for reasons to fire you, or more common in my experience, to overrule your attempt to fire or penalize your shittiest employees.

Short of theft or outright job abandonment, it is essentially impossible for one of my workers to get fired. You have to write up a million corrective actions and action plans, and even then, they can still just outright pull rank on you. Complete bullshite and provides no value-added other than the time productive employees don't have to spend hiring or interviewing. Worst arse kissers on the planet as well.
