This is better than being a Republican, and light years better than being a democrat. The “both parties suck” crowd should love Trump.

how do conservatives motivate Trump to stop spending like a Democrat?
I think Trump’s company is doing just fine. Now if you mean the United States spending, you’re gonna have talk to your Congressman about that. And when you do, ask him why he is against DOGE cuts.

Donald Trump is not a Republican, regardless of his voter registration, and whether or not you believe that’s a good or bad thing. The President is a nationalist and a populist—again regardless of whether you think those things are good or bad.
I think Trump would be considered an old school Democrat by many Americans, particularly older Americans.
Trump's certainly not a hard right conservative. On the other hand, the Republican Party over the past 60-70 years carries much of the blame for the current shite show the US is experiencing today. Every time the Republicans have held power over Congress and the White House, it's the Democratic Socialist agenda that continues to move forward. The political pendulum is off kilter now, even when Republicans have power the political pendulum doesn't move back towards the center.

It’s our country’s 250th anniversary but it’s a shame that Trump is the President for it.
I support most of his policies, and have voted for him every time he’s on the ballot.
But I have to admit it does kind of suck we won’t have a unified celebration for the semi-quintessential just because half the country will hate everything because he is POTUS. Trump will throw a hell of a party in July, that much is certain.
Same boat, brother. I've wanted to like the guy. There's parts of his persona that I do like but he is just an immature child. That part I really don't care for. Still, a much better choice than he vs Kamala, Biden, Obama, even DeSantis. Probably not as much of a DJT problem as it is a problem with our society.
