for the first day or two, I was open to the possibility that Mike Huckabee was telling the truth. After three or four days passed, and no first-hand information consistent with his story came to light, my position changed to “skeptical,” as you have described. After almost 2 weeks during which (still) no evidence evidence in support of his story has YET surfaced, my position has indeed shifted to “this almost certainly did not happen.” That is called objective analysis. You should try it sometime, just for a change of pace.
