The process for the Memo----- where it stands
Posted on 2/1/18 at 11:02 am

As reported last week, the memo had to follow the proper process:
- Vote to allow House to see
- Vote to send to President
- President can amend approve and send it back to the House for the final step OR wait 5 days and it automatically goes back to HIC.
Let's pause right here. If I am correct on the time line, Tomorrow is the deadline regardless of what the president does. It will go back to the house. The only question is will it have a finger print from the president on it.
- It appears that the president is allowed to make changes based on his office and powers and it appears that his office made some changes.
- IF he sends the edited version to the house, nothing... LISTEN AND READ SEVERAL TIMES LEFT..... nothing changes. The house will continue the process.
- The house can then release.

I still don’t understand why they haven’t simply released it.
Every useless day they spend sitting on it is just another opportunity for the media to convince another segment of the population to never read it or believe what it says.

One word. Process.

If Trump has actually declassified the information as some are reporting then this “process” is just window dressing.

“Process”
I for one am tired of Washington’s “process”. The glacial pace on everything is inexcusable. That so many people allow them to pander, grandstand, and blatantly drag their feet on every single action is sad.

As I posted in another topic, it looks like the WH has agreed to withhold some of whats in the memo.

Fox News is reporting that DJT has declassified it, and the memo will be released tomorrow morning.
If he hadn't, the HIC could've released it on Monday, after 5 working days.

If that’s true, the entire thing will be a dud.

2 reasons....
- Trump is riding a wave of great news and is about to give a speech. He doesn't want this memo to interfere with his speech.
- give enough rope and time and people will walk off the ledge. The dems are doing just that right now.

If it has been declassified by Trump already it can be released right now.
However, Sean Hannity would not get an exclusive scoop on the memo for tonight’s show if they go ahead and release it now.

Like that would stop him from announcing his "breaking, exclusive news".

Being reported that WH approved some redactions and refused others. Memo will be sent tomorrow back to the House. They will have 5 more days to do whatever it is they do to it.
This thing wont go public until next week. Monday is my guess.

Logic suggests they are following the rules to the T to avoid bad optics and avoid accusations that this is somehow "obstruction of justice".
Why?
Because it's abundantly clear at this point that this thing has negative implications on the Mueller investigation.
Schiff even claimed this was an "attempt to get Mueller and the #2 in the DOJ fired."
So there's zero doubt anymore that at least some portion of this memo will paint Rosenstein and Mueller in a bad light. And if that's the case, then Dems will crow "obstruction" again, and we all know it.
So I think Reps on the HIC and Trump's people are taking this slow and careful and making every effort to get it right.
This also makes me think they are doing this because they actually are going to fire these people.

Right. That is the process.
Due to the retreat and his speech, it's not going back today!
So, IF it goes tomorrow morning it COULD be released in the afternoon.
I would think it will be based on the news and what the dems drop tomorrow and at what time.
