I think across the country today we see a lot of pressure start to get put on local representatives. Originally the goal was to flatten the curve. That goal has been accomplished. It’s time to get people back to work in most parts of the country. I think this is why Greg Abbot is coming out with a plan today. He knows people will grow restless and start to lean on their constitutional rights. The most interesting state will be Louisiana. I could definitely see JBE trying to rule for much longer using New Orleans as his battle cry. Just my thoughts..

Technically the curve has not flattened, its still going up slightly. And there are more Covid shedding people out there this week than ever before. Why in the world would we re-start this week?

You bet. If the medical field can do trial runs to see if a medicine is effective then so can our economy be opened up to see the effectiveness of that also. If the virus numbers start to rise significantly, we can always shut the economy down again but I think we need to do a trial run just to see.

Bc a big percent of the population aren’t Facebook Karens... they aren’t pussies and can weigh risk vs reward.

The experts say we hit peak deaths 3 days ago and peak hospitalization 2 days ago.

Their numbers will be revised again today. 8 days ago they said 250k were gonna die, down to 61k on Friday, and likely lower today.

The only states lacking hospital rooms, ICU beds, and vents are NY, NJ, CT, MA. And NOLA and Detroit.

That curve is flatter than a 40 year old travel ball mom's arse.

Link?

Haven’t seen any true data showing this. All of the additional vents and temp hospitals aren’t being used.

I think you’re 100% right about JBE wanting to continue his rule, but I think you’ve missed what his argument will be.

The most likely argument he will use imho is what The Advocate alluded to this morning (no link because of shitty paywall) that Baton Rouge and other areas will see surges from commuter traffic to New Orleans that is now spreading it to BR.

Symptoms lag exposure by 5ish days.
Test results lag by 2-5 days. So what you’re seeing in the data is a snapshot of a week ago.

As far as the Media/Demcorats/Hollywood are concerned, New York and California are the only states that matter, so this will remain at peak level hysteria until there are zero cases in New York......

1. You don’t represent the views of a “big percent” of the population. ( whatever that means - is it weally weally big?) Don’t just assume bc you feel something everyone else feels it. That makes you stupid.

2. You’re obviously poor and need to return to work. You can’t make 2 weeks of a quarantine. 2 weeks!!! Let’s keep the facts in perspective.

3. Doesn’t make people Karen’s bc they may have money to ride this out and care about the lives of others. It strictly makes you a loser bc you don’t. Again, just looking at facts.

So let’s recap - poor, stupid, loser. Yep, checks out.

When the suffering of the people reaches its apex, then you will see them throw off the yolk of government oppression and rise up. Not a minute before.
