Yeah, they belong in prison forever.

I’d accept life without parole, but either way, they should be removed from society.

Not seeing Cubbies comment on this one. I wonder why.

And this is the 3rd or 4th such attack since she commented on how dangerous white men are to women.

Said it yesterday. This keeps happening. Was told that crime is down across the board everywhere. But the pattern keeps repeating.

For what 4 Cubbies might say...

The function of the Penal system is not to do the perp any good, or rehabilitate. The function of the Penal system is to Protect Society.b]

Your link says its the highest rates since 2012...

Your data only goes back to 1993...

In 2009 it was lower than now.

What happened then?

Oh yeah Obama and woke "justice reform".

The years of Clinton and 3 strikes, broke windows policy brought crime down.

Yeah, there are spikes due to foolishness like BLM and covid, but the trend has been steadily downward since the 70’s.

Rape has not followed that trend, what really happened was we had a massive increase in crime in the late 1960s, in the 1980s and 1990s they started getting tougher on crime, which brought the rate down.

There is no trend since 2010.

Our court system has to get a handle on this. The soft on crime thing is actively created racists by making it seem like black thugs are never held to account, and it's honestly hard to say they are.

There is no trend since 2010.

I think it has a lot more to do with demographics. Young men are the crime committers, and we have fewer young men per capita. The trend since 2010 is fairly flat, but at a much lower level than in past decades. There are probably a lot of factors. As you wrote, criminology is one, demographics, technology; it’s hard to tease out exactly what causes it.
