If we have lost ShinerHorns, it’s truly over. I need an update on the state of affairs from conservativewifeymom.

This version of MAGA is given rise to the Nick Fuentes’s of the world. That’s how bad Trump is doing.

Now that Charlie Kirk is gone, young white males have no one to look to as a leader and feel betrayed by their own country, so radicalism and white superiority, which Nick supports, are a natural progression for them to turn to.

Trump had the chance to bring them all in, and did so last election thanks to Charlie, but Trump 100% lost them last night over the H1B issue.

Trump 2.0 outside of immigration has been an unmitigated disaster. The most tone deaf policy emphasis since McCain ran on the “surge”

Yea it’s pretty clear CK was the glue. You can replace his debars but his ability backstage hasn’t been replaced yet

This was a stupid thing to say, but has the admin actually put out policies in this direction?

This is stupid and makes no sense in relation to literally everything Trump says about China.

He's currently the president of Syria. Should we just not have relations with Syria? Not a whole lot of great leaders of Middle East nations tbh. We either talk to them or we don't.

Does talking to them require rolling out the red carpet at the WH?

This is just a sign of the problem of his overall political archetype.

You can't promote populism to the masses and flirt with the fringe and then pretend they don't exist/support Trump without expecting that the fringe ultimately declares themselves to be part of the movement. Just like with the socialist messaging undermining populism. You better deliver or you're going to have groups with their hands out asking why they aren't sharing in the wealth.

Trump does this with a lot of foreign leaders. I don't like Zelensky either, but we rolled out the red carpet for him too.

Saudi Arabia does some awful things and pretty much every president rolls out the red carpet for them.

I disagree on “TDS”. It is a very real thing. I was talking to my TDS afflicted neighbor, and she went off on Trump destroying the White House. It is one of those things that would not even be an issue if Obama had done it. It would hardly have been newsworthy. Ten years from now it will just be part of the landscape, and it will be one of the most popular features of the White House. But Trump did it, so AAAaaarggghh! That is TDS.

Gen Z white males are becoming more and more disenfranchised. Charlie brought them in and listened, but that's gone now. Both parties are now telling those men they don't matter and there is no place for them.

Correct, and when you promote a socialist-based message (populism), you better deliver, or you're not going to like what happens to those left out.

I’m a Trump fan 90% of the time but he has got to get out of his own way. Self inflicted wounds are the worst and will erode his support the quickest. Apparently he’s hellbent on doing that right now. I expect him to go after low hanging fruit of the cultural variety soon to change the narrative. Anything else takes too long to see results like the economy recovering and hiring picking up, ending wars, housing, etc…

This happened in the last two weeks. $38 trillion.

“U.S. national debt reached a new record high of $38.019 trillion. It took only 71 days to add an additional $1 trillion to our national debt, with $382.260 billion added this fiscal year, during the government shutdown,” said JEC Chairman David Schweikert. “Our current level of deficit spending is unsustainable.

I think they're using the Tulsi/Kash PR stunts to do this, personally.

But that messaging about CFH and Arctic Frost hasn't penetrated outside of hardcore MAGA culture.

Trump is reeling. I think all the potential issues with relying on populism and the unlikely/unrelated groups he brought together under his tent are showing they're not compatible. There are three main groups staking their claim, that I can see, who are causing the conflict that he can't control anymore. 1. Younger, educated professionals who thought that his populism (which was aimed at the lower class types) included them. They are realizing that they were not included in Trump's plans, and they were just part of the likely traditional GOP cohort Trump expected to get automatically. They are realizing they are not part of his policy goals and you see the black pill-type responses on here. 2. The older, Israel-supporting neocons are staking their claim to MAGA. Make no mistake, these people cannot help themselves when they feel their side is in power and always show their true colors. There is obviously a LARGE overlap with the Evangelicals, who were the OG neocons and Israel supporters under GWB. 3. This is the one I didn't really conceptualize until yesterday, but the grifter content creator class is also a major part of this. Trump's reeling is going to give them more and more content from which to sell to their prechosen niche audiences. In true MAGA culture form, policy, sincerely-held principles, etc. are not necessary.
