I highlighted the part of your post that I was responding to, the part that did not refer to the ratio. You are correct that the deficit to GDP ratio decreased slightly, this is good news.
My key concern is the debt to GDP ratio. This continues to increase and will be very difficult to bring down.

Yep, it's been a major FUBAR situation.
Trump's first year: Jetting around the world focusing on Foreign Policy issues (and doing some truly great things, sure) while basically ignoring his Domestic agenda. Then he chooses to focus on that for a couple weeks and comes up with so many shite ideas you have to wonder either who has his damn ear or has he suddenly become retarded?
And FFS does being labeled a terrorist organization not mean anything anymore? Why the frick is Antifa able to show their face anywhere in public? Why am I not seeing 100s of arrests and freaking 10-15yr sentences getting thrown around like Oprah giving people free gift baskets at these protests/riots at ICE facilities/on ICE operations?

This shows a profound ignorance of economics. It will drive up the costs of housing. People have been shown to make purchasing decisions based upon monthly costs, whether it is auto loans or houses. Just like extending auto loans to 84 months resulted in driving up new car prices, 50 year mortgages will drive up home prices.
