Why wouldn't Russia just fire missiles at that plant and move on?

Apparently there are tons of underground tunnels… plus history suggests turning urban areas to rubble doesn’t really help the attacker… often times makes it worse.

Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Oleksiy Danilov said that this morning a new offensive operation of the RF Armed Forces began in the east of the country along the entire front line.

At the moment, as reported, Russian artillery is actively working on the objects of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The pro-Russia side of the ledger seems to think Ukrainian forces are pinned down and low on fuel and ammo in the east. We are going to see in the next few weeks who has been BS-ing and who has been telling the truth.

This is just my opinion, but I think it’s gonna be hard for either side to pull off effective offensives in the east… each side will try some attacks/counterattacks, but they’re gonna be costly and likely not worth it. It’s largely what the eastern Ukraine conflict has looked like since 2014.

Both sides have to be experiencing severe fatigue…

Let's keep it real: Ukraine has likely lost hundreds of thousands of people throughout this war effort.

They'll rebuild their cities, join the EU and have strong western support, but they'll never be the same. This is too steep a price to 'go back to normal' when it's all over.

it will take heavy western aid, but I actually think there’s a chance Ukraine comes out of this in a better place *if* the west agrees to rebuilds… some kinda mini-Marshall plan.

There’s also precedent for a poor outlook, especially if Ukraine falls under Russian orbit… just look at the old eastern bloc shitholes… compared to a place like Finland would was able to stay out of the ussr.

The Russian invaders are raising flags of the Soviet Union in Mariupol. Don't forget what Putin's main goal is: The restoration of the Soviet Union.

When it is all said and done it will probably take close to 500 billion USD to rebuild eastern Ukraine. The only things left to be decided are

1. How many more people have to die.

2. What parts of eastern Ukraine will be paid for by western aid and stolen by the Ukrainians and what parts will be paid for by Russia and stolen by the separatists.

They're doing that to piss off the AZOG group since there are nazi flags everywhere in Mariupol.

Raising the Soviet Flag is an attempt to tie this to history… Berlin Wrechstsag 1945.

Got a source for that claim. I watch lots of videos from there and I haven't seen any Nazi flags flying in the city yet.

I wish just for once you'd back up your words. You made the claim, back it up otherwise go back to Putin's cock.

Let’s remind people what Russia’s invasion of Ukraine is all about.

This is what the occupying forces did in Debaltseve in 2015 after taking control of the city in the Battle of Debaltseve, the final act of large-scale fighting before forcing Ukraine to sign the Minsk 2 accords.

The Russian soldiers have flown a lot of flags during the invasion.

I’ve seen photos of the hammer and cycle, as well as the Imperial Russian flag, but even Ivan the Terribles banner has shown up.

I seriously doubt that any contemporary Russian soldier would raise a communist flag, the very symbol under which four generations of Russians suffered. (Then, again, who knows?)

“One less traitor”: Zelensky oversees campaign of assassination, kidnapping and torture of political opposition
MAX BLUMENTHAL AND ESHA KRISHNASWAMY·APRIL 17, 2022

LINK

Max Blumenthal focuses on and extensively documents "Torture and enforced disappearances “common practices” of Ukraine’s SBU", "Kiev officially endorses assassinating Ukrainian mayors for negotiating with Russia", "Under Zelensky’s watch", “the war is being used to kidnap, imprison and even kill opposition members”.

And it isn't just mayors and other politicians.

quote:

Common Ukrainian citizens have also been subjected to torture since the start of the war this February. Seemingly countless videos have appeared on social media showing civilians tied to lamp posts, often with their genitals exposed or their faces painted green. Carried out by Territorial Defense volunteers tasked with enforcing law and order during wartime, these acts of humiliation and torture have targeted everyone from accused Russian sympathizers to Roma people to alleged thieves.

And then there is the open display of torture and killing of Russian POWs.

quote:

Journalist Dan Cohen interviewed a Ukrainian businessman named Igor who was arrested by the SBU for his financial ties with Russian companies and detained this March in the security service’s notorious headquarters in downtown Kiev. Igor said he overheard Russian POWs being beaten with pipes by Territorial Defense volunteers being coached by SBU officers. Pummeled to the sound of the Ukrainian national anthem, the Russian prisoners were brutalized until they confessed their hatred for Putin.

Then came Igor’s turn. “They used a lighter to heat up a needle, then put it under my fingernails,” he told Cohen. “The worst was when they put a plastic bag over my head and suffocated me and when they held the muzzle of a Kalashnikov rifle to my head and forced me to answer their questions.”

quote:

While the Western media has focused squarely on alleged Russian human rights abuses since the outbreak of war, Ukrainian soldiers and pro-Ukrainian social media accounts have proudly exhibited sadistic war crimes, from field executions to the torture of captive soldiers.

This March, a pro-Ukrainian Telegram channel called White Lives Matter released a video of a Ukrainian soldier calling the fiancee of a Russian prisoner of war, seen below, and taunting her with promises to castrate the captive.

Very tough reading but Blumenthal has done an important job in portraying the viciousness of the SBU and nazis within Ukraine. Clearly the nazis/SBU are using this war to deepen and extend their control over the state.
