The US dropped more ordinance on Iraq in 1 week than Russia has in 1 month.
A failure on their part.

Could you explain your position on Russia, your posts certainly seem to deride anything positive about the Ukranian's. Why?
I don’t give a frick about any of them. I just don’t see how y’all can drink from the same source that just literally locked y’all up in closets for over a year to make record profits for Pfizer and moderna?

You can't even answer a simple question without insulting people...figures. And here I hoped you might be able to explain your position in an articulate manner, shame on me for that.

The biggest takeaway from all of this is how poorly Russia's military has performed at ALL levels.
Now imagine what it would be like to see the US military against the Russian military in a ground war. We would STEAMROLL these fools!

Sure looks like it. Makes you wonder about China's army and how well they would perform using combined arms. China doesn't have much (if any) experience in large-scale combat operations. You know they are watching and learning from the Russian's mistakes.

And China would be forced to use combined arms in a large scale amphibious assault on Taiwan. Taiwan also has a mountain range in the center of the island, where the Taiwanese military could hold out in tunnels from naval bombardments and airstrikes. It could be China's Iwo Jima.

That's not really something that you can perfect without a few hard lessons along the way.

Are you talking about this question?
quote:
If Russia is doing so badly then why isn’t Zelensky publicly calling it out and demanding surrender?
I would suspect it's because the Ukrainians aren't to the point where they could demand Russia's surrender.
Your turn

And what does that have to do with China's ability to successfully execute combined arms warfare?

If Russia is failing so badly, Zelensky or no public leader is calling out the Russians to leave immediately. Why do I only see this from CNN and Twitter.

Name 1 battle we lost in Afghanistan. You can't.
We lost 2,000 brave soldiers there. 60K Afghanis were killed in the conflict.
The Afghanis lost Afghanistan.

The Taliban didn't win. Their point of view persisted. There's a difference, but I doubt you're smart enough to discern it (or you're just pushing an agenda for political purposes. Personally, I don't do that, esp. when the scarifies of American soldiers are involved. But that falls agenda flat when you realize the conflict lasted over 4 administrations of both political parties...)
The original point being, you can meet all of your military objectives, however, it's very hard to "defeat" a deeply engrained religious philosophy.

Great listen from the Hoover Institute with HR McMaster interviewing Vladimir Milov. Milov was part of the Russian opposition party, and was a government official in the early 2000s. He has some very unique insights into Russia and its fundamental problems.

This is the singular truth. Afghanistan had every opportunity to adjust themselves, see the wisdom of the "western world" and join modern society.
They chose the Taliban and a famine that will decimate their children.
Iraq, far from perfect, is doing a much better job of rejoining the civilized world.
