The Russian army is basically strangling the core Ukrainian army out east while besieging every major city except Lviv.
Mariupol is quite literally the only major city the Russians are besieging. Kiev and Kharkov aren’t surrounded.

Putin's two previous attacks on Georgia and Crimea where short and quick.
Georgia and Crimea combined have maybe a tenth of the land area of Ukraine.

True. But it is less than 100 miles from the Belorussian border to Kiev. Take the capital city and that's the game. Here we are, one month later, and they still can't even penetrate past the suburbs.

If the city isn’t surrounded then it isn’t besieged

Do these party swaps occur organically? Regardless, it’s unnerving to observe.
Reading this on a day where Dems are emphatically embracing & running cover for a judge that gave out light sentencing to pedos is hysterical. A party that changes daily depending on which way the wind blows including fully supporting Neo-Nazis after crying that white supremacy was the greatest threat in the world for the past 5 years. fricking clowns!

I have no idea is Key-ev is besieged or not.
But if a city is cutoff so that ingress or egress of goods is halted then it is besieged, surrounded or not.
Again, I have no idea is Key-ev is besieged or not.

Mayor claims that he had someone shot.

some people are talking about the kramatorsk mayor saying that the fuel depot's location was leaked by a local (almost certainly untrue, the city is close to donetsk & there's RU drone footage) but no one is talking about him saying he had someone shot without trial for this

Partially and in the process of being under full siege….happy
Posted on 3/22/22 at 9:30 pm to Palmetto98
No, it isn’t “partially” besieged it’s just straight up not besieged. The Russians may eventually succeed in encircling Kyiv but the offensive appears to have stalled out for now.
I haven’t seen any reports by either side that would suggest there’s any trouble supplying the city

The attacks have been surgical and specifically avoiding known areas where citizens are isolated except places where soldiers have mixed in. Some citizens have been denied the right to leave by Ukrainian militants.
Russia is using time as its ally as well to minimize its own losses. They will likely flood part of Kiev to render it uninhabitable and useless to the Ukrainian military.

There was no attack on Crimea...none. I've been to Crimea 7-8 times and it has always been extremely pro-Russian. Crimea didn't get one iota of support, economic or socially since 1991. It had eroded horribly.
Russia also couldn't allow the militants that murdered 48 pro-Russia supporters in Odessa and lead the Kiev maidan and the brutal murders on civilians in the Donbas region and Lugansk region to ever step foot in Crimea where the Russian navy is stationed.

The Russians are in this till end of May. The only way to stop them is NATO attacking. That would start WWIII Thermo Nuclear War!

Satellite images of flooding near the village of Kozarovichi, north of Kiev. At the beginning of the war, the Ukrainian Armed Forces blew up a dam on the Irpen River (to stop the Russian advance), which now causes water to approach residential buildings in Demidov.
