The justice that came to us due to her work specifically on womens issue was too arrogant and selfish to allow Obama to replace her. She would die before she allowed someone of like mind to replace her. Trump was given that privilege, and even Roberts could not repair the damage that RBG did to Roe

It was 6/3, I imagine the argument is that Roberts goes the other way if he's the deciding, but who's to say.

Roberts said it. He said he would not have voted to overturn Roe, but he was outnumbered

It’s like 50% McConnell on the Garland refusal and 50% on Ruth’s hubris.

Actually it's all Hillary's fault.

RBG knew she should have resigned under Obama but wanted the first female President to appoint her successor.

Just think had Hillary won in 2008, she could have replaced Ginsburg and Obama would be running for 2016. If Obama got elected in 2016, roe vs Wade would not be overturned nor would the NY proper cause case.

Basically if the Dems weren't so fixated on getting a black guy into the White House, things could really be worse for us regarding SCOTUS.

I'm very concerned that the Dems will try to end the filibuster then pack the courts before they lose the House.

Pretty fair assessment. HRC would have beaten McCain about as badly as Obama did.

As bad as things have been the past 14 years, I think they would be immeasurably worse had the DNC had somehow gotten O to take the tailpipe in the campaign the way they did Bern the last two cycles. It's obvious he could be bought off. I think every bad thing that has happened since 2008 would still have happened, only by now they would have had insurmountable majorities in Congress and the Courts.

There but for the grace of God...

the RvW vote was 5-4. Robert's 6-3 vote was the miss law. 2 separate issues
