If they don't have help, I think being outside is the place to be, make a stand and hope it works out like before. If it gets worse and the situation is unsustainable, blast their way out, and make an escape. They need a good escape plan already in place.

That DA is waiting to charge them with something. If they need to stop the mob with force, it's better for them if they do so after the mob attempts to enter their home.

That is turning out to be a very unwise investment. I'm not going to assume that he is rolling in money, because I have seen fancy estates drain folks dry before. Top tier security costs a lot of money.

That's an easy way to end up dead, if they are all alone. frick legal issues. This is about people's rights to defend their home, and that outweighs anything the DA can come up with.

This approach isn’t going to work too well if they start launching cocktails and catch the house on fire. Then your forced outside of a mob surrounded house. Unless they have cover no fricking way I would just go stand outside. If the mob shows back up you can almost be certain they will be armed. I would be on the second story ready to start picking those frickers off from a window and have the staircase covered as well in case they got in the house.

If they are armed when they come through that gate, that means they are attacking me, I start picking them off right then, as many as I can. If there are a lot, it's time to leave, because there's no way to win. I head straight to the truck and haul my arse out of there.

has anyone mentioned the guy is a lawyer and there is a possibility he is throwing something this attention grabbing out there to build public opinion in his favor and against the DA even more?
