None of those houses you listed are in Buckhead or Plano though.

Maybe this two hour commute is making some sense. Would love to only see my kids on the weekends.

Which point is that? That home economics can be challenging?

Manage your money wisely beforehand and you could.

I could care less if a person making $30k bought a $50k house or $200k house, they cant afford either. The first time the HVAC unit goes out they are fk'ed

Like I said previously, the people who love to live the long commute life typically hate their family anyways so I say go for it

Oh, I wouldn't have a house there. Crime has picked up, and the traffic is crazy, and it recently flooded, and ... and .... and ..... you know ....

not sure he is, posting an article referencing a gen z person specifically saying they are glad they bought their house back in 2020 with low interest rates and prices while continously arguing that home affordability isnt an issue because gen z's as of 2 years ago were owning homes at a similar rate as previous generations

Wow, what a gotcha.

Spend only what you really need for several yrs and you could easily save 20% of your income per year.

It isn't that hard.

Make all the excuses you want.

Either you want a house or you really don't.

I think the only way your 30k situation works is if the person lives with their parents rent free.

Sorry, if it's not the challenge of making ends meet, what was the point?

Get some roommates. Work a part-time job on top of your normal job.

Agreed. Two incomes is probably the quickest way to fix your situation. It also allows you to be a little more risky in trying new ways to add revenue streams.
