That was likely the plan all along. Get things passed in reconciliation that couldn’t pass otherwise. Budgets are an annual occurrence. These other critical items are not, but they are more immediate.

Trump can help manage the deficit with growth while getting these other crucial bills passed that will help stop the downfall created by Biden. Fixing the deficit doesn't fix these problems, but fixing these problems helps with the deficit.

And that's why conservatives are myopic.

Look at how many melted down over tariffs and Iran only to have none of their fears come to fruition. But now, after an incredible string of failed predictions, they still want us to just believe they know what is best while they regurgitate dishonest numbers as their only argument.
