Why didn't our soldiers just carry a shotgun? Biden said that is all we need, right?

As a taxpayer, if you had told me we had 25,000 vehicles in Afghanistan, I'd have said "yea, typical governmant waste... probably double the amount required".

Don't forget to fire off both rounds into the air to scare the enemy, leaving yourself holding an empty weapon.

This honestly feels like an advertisement for why the defense budget should be fricking slashed. If we can leave behind that much equipment and not care, we might have too much of it lying around.

Only if the Afghans had used them instead of surrendering.

How do you "leave behind" pallets of millions of dollars? People just forgot it was there. Everybody there decided it wasn't worth taking. Come on.

Our government that is terrified of Americans having "weapons of war" like AR-15s and high capacity magazines but they leave all of this behind to fall into the hands of actual terrorist that hate America. I guess none of that weaponry could ever make its way back here, right? I mean, how would any of these people get in with our borders being so secure.

im furious about this and the scale of waste and ineptitude, however, we did lose the war, so anything we got out is a small win...certainly not excusing any of this, just reminding we took the "L". what a complete and utter disaster and we are being lead by a drooling potato.

But we need to pay more taxes! This kind of waste happens way too much and it really pisses me off that they want us to pay more.

Who leaves 4 C-130's? They could have loaded all 4 with all of the bombs, guns, cash, and prioritize the vehicles.
Even better, they could have flown all 4 out and fly 4 more in until everything was removed.
The generals in charge need to be fired ASAP.
If Hiden told them they had to leave by a certain dats, then they should have said we will leave once all of the people and equipment are out. IF he was told this and did not do it, then what federal crime did he commit by leaving perfectly good equipment paid for with out tax dollars?
If no high crime was committed, then we have to eat it and the dems own this gross negligence.

It’s because they sold Afganistan to the Chinese and Russians.
