Would be interested to know the college and the response from them
The college legally cannot discuss the son’s education without his written consent because he’s an adult.
Instruct your adult son to sign a FERPA and attach it to the next complaint you email to your adult son’s university.

why would I assume
It’s not your fricking place to assume. You don’t know anything about the kid. Not one thing. But you’re completely fricked up mind has come up with an entire personality and character diagnosis. You don’t know a fricking thing about the kid.
Karen.

So you assume the son didn't give his parents that right.

If she’s allowed to make assumptions about how someone else raised their kid, I’m allowed to assume she raised future school shooters. All of the signs are there.

If the DEMs want their own nation, give it to them. But they can’t stay here.
I wish it was that easy.

It's why 4dummies starts threads never answers questions.
Drives the thread with more questions.
Then when getting hemmed in. Stokes out with the passive aggressive bullshite.

Encourage your kid to get out of there and go to Texas A&M. If he can't get in immediately then he should enroll at Blinn and transfer in later.

that empathy and compassion crap is something not everyone possesses. Probably about half the population i'd guess. Empathy and compassion doesn't solve problems, it makes problems worse usually

Help your kids develop the skills they need to advocate for themselves. Encourage your kids to ask these questions of their professors. Help them build confidence to question people in positions of authority.
This is obviously a new phase in his child's life. One he is inexperienced with, so he asked his father for assistance. He solely brings up the issue to his professor, and it's held against the student. Then it's a different fight with the school.
Also, I'm assuming the father is paying, so he has every right to approach the school.
If I were in this position I'd transfer out ASAP. And make sure all know why. One thing is mixing in one leftie book, but ONLY leftie books proves the type of person the professor is.
You lefties don't see a problem with this kind of situation cause it fits your mold and you don't see the consequences. But it's been proven people on the right don't get that leeway from leftie professors.

Sometimes I need a reminder that this level of insanity does exist and that it isn’t just made up for hysteria.
It helps motivate even more to go out and vote on every single level of politics

4cubbies... what is the magic age you go hands off of parenting?
The law says parents are not entitled to interfere with their adult offspring’s education. You do disagree?

Who interfered?
Why are you the arbiter of what Young is or isn't entitled to?

Because she doesn't want the questions the parent asked to require answering or defended by progressive administrators.

The college can most certainly discuss curriculum.
