He’s either going to declare the emergency or in three weeks we are shutting down again. Trump’s back is against the wall. He knows he has to get this done one way or another or at least look like he is.

I agree with this.
He had two years with a Republican majority and didn't get it done.
I'm perfectly fine with no wall, I've been against it the whole time. But, he should have gotten some concessions on immigration

The Senate GOP will get something they can call a win on that front. The Dems can't totally stonewall if the GOP comes in good faith trying to make a deal. No one wants another shutdown.

I guess some people get it and some people don’t. Trump realized his blunder of taking ownership of the shutdown. His ego got the best of him.
Now, he looks like he’s trying to reach a deal and he’s compromised his position in order to reach that deal. WHEN the deal isn’t reached in the next 3 weeks, he gets to blame the democrats and then he corrects his blunder. The pressure moves completely from him to them. He can go to the people and say that he has attempted to negotiate in good faith with the democrats. They have failed to reciprocate.
He’ll state the national security risk of having an open border and it will begin. All the bad negativity will be put on the democrats because they had a opportunity to take what was on the table but they got greedy. Trump accomplishes the wall, his ratings go up and the democrats look foolish for having gained nothing.
