Absolutely shocking you feel that way.

I've been wanting the TRUTH for the past 6 years.

That's great.

Obama has lied about so many things that it's a shame that anybody still supports his lying arse.

Politicians lie and obfuscate and spin things their way?!?!

quote:

He lied about his relationship with Jeremiah Wright 6 years ago, and it's been one lie after another ever since.

Awesome. How many of those lies could also be considered crimes? I don't know what culpability he has in these lost emails, but it seems someone in the Administration does and it's probably the closest we're going to get to someone being indicted.

But, I do agree with you on one thing. The issue of these "lost" emails is so egregious that even a blind squirrel like you can see this one.

The cover-up is always the one that gets you. Just ask Nixon.

This isn't Obama's first cover-up, boosie. It's just the first one you've acknowledged.

Of almost all the things this administration has done to infuriate me, this one ranks right near the top!

This is some bullshite!! Anyone defending this is a complete dumbass. It's so damn obvious and a big frick you to the entire country. How people can defend this shite is absurd. Can't wait for GOP to start pulling this shite. You mf'ers can't say shite about shite ever again. There are no standards anymore. This POS has broken all the rules and stooped to levels Monica Lewinsky wouldn't stoop to.

Maybe she said so in one of the e-mails but we can't find them anymore.

Since the news cycle cranks back up today I did a quick check to see what the coverage of the Lerner emails was shaping up like and there is precious little from major sources.

Looks like the MSM isn't going to cover this story.

Does anybody recall this happening before? Email has been around for a long time and the Fed has only 'lost' these particular files?

I believe a similar excuse was used by the Clinton administration (can't find a source at the moment though).

According to the House Ways and Means Committee, the IRS has "lost" two years of emails belonging to former head of tax exempt organizations Lois Lerner. The IRS doesn't have a record of her emails from January 2009 through April 2011, conveniently encompassing some of the same time when tea party groups were being targeted for extra scrutiny and possible criminal prosecution. The IRS says the loss of emails is due to a "computer crash" and claims emails from or to Lerner from the White House, Democratic members of Congress, the Treasury Department and Department of Justice cannot be located.

This can't be true.

Government computers never crash.

Yeah, lets completely ignore the fact that emails are stored on computers, they are stored on servers :roll eyes:

a computer crash doesn't result in the loss emails during a specific time frame

The point remains, though, VB, that emails are not stored locally only. They are stored somewhere on a server.

I'm not disagreeing with you. My point is that's it's more plausible that her personal computer crashed. And that's what they're saying.

Vegas, a long email is 75kb. 1600 emails would only be 117mb of server storage. Today, the article says they have server storage for 6000 emails? That's only 439mb. A free gmail account has 15gb of storage. Are you telling me that someone with a free gmail account has 34 times or even 60 times the email storage of a high ranking IRS official? 75kb is a big email. The average is probably much, much less. Do the math.

I'm far from an IT person but when I worked for a large firm I was told to delete bc of space and was called in for not doing so. This has to be the policy bc if not then you have 80,000 employees who have to tell this lie

But that wouldnt have deleted the emails.

so the excuse they trotted out is a flat out lie, and insulting to anyone with a modicum of intelligence.
