This the dude Trump turned to dust in Iraq?

If so, how does that correlate to the 50 year war narrative?

What about this, what if things are going nicely according to preconceived contingency plans?

There doesn't seem to be any evidence of this one way or another

I wouldn’t think we would disagree with the idea that we don’t and won’t ever know what the contingency planning consists of or looks like.

I know one thing. This is an absolute fraud of a war and a waste of time that doesn't benefit you or me.

That has pretty much been the effective norm for a several thousand years.

You mean an occupational force?

That's not what our military is really trained for. And it only works if you are stealing their resources and enslaving the population.

Even then you aren't really changing the people, you are just oppressing them.

Do you consider killing American soldiers on the battlefield either directly or indirectly an act of war, particularly when it’s been done regularly for that amount of time, even if at the orders of one guy for say 35 years and another for 15? That doesn’t seem to be an relevant condition.

Anyhow, Iran fostered the practice of Islamic fundamentalist suicide bombers….against Americans and Israelis; Soleimani fostered the use of IED warfare against American soldiers.

It certainly isn’t and won’t be a practice of mine personally to fault you or tell you you’re wrong for holding that belief, regardless whether I agree or disagree.

In your opinion. Can’t win. How do you know?

One way to avoid getting killed on battlefields in the middle east is to not put our troops in battlefields in the middle east

If we launch a ground invasion into Iran and some of our troops die is Iran the aggressor in that situation?

Did you see Iraq and Afghanistan?

Well Iran has the population of both of those countries combined. It also has the worst terrain possible for any military. Our tanks cant' even shoot at the top of the mountains, something that wasn't really an issue in Iraq and only in some areas of Afghanistan.

I'm sure we could still achieve a military victory, but the people will see us as invaders and we'd just be wasting money and resources. Just like after all we did in Iraq and Afghanistan the only thing changed were the pockets of the war profiteering MIC.

Because Iran decided to take the lead at war with the Great Satan. War declared doesn’t need a second nation to accept it, nor does it need an all out effort.
