The solution is lifetime sentences in mental asylums instead of jail. They will reconsider their right to kill with haste.

They're seriously trying to label these as "post birth abortions".

I suffered with postpartum depression. It was brutal. However, not once did the thought of harming my child enter my mind. Alas, everyone is different. The point is, do not underestimate the power of hormone. An inbalance is indescribable.

That being said, whatever the case may be, children are dead. Despite the defense and despite any jury outcome, never again should these women - or anyone who harms another during an alleged psychotic break, no matter the cause, be permitted back in what is supposed to be a civilized society.

What is the solution? I do not know. However,I believe a good beginning would be exporting them to an “island of misfits” for lack of a better term.

ETA: I think I know. You’re mad that I called the situation of Clancy killing her kids tragic. You’re emotional that I care more about the kids than posting hate for a woman who doesn’t know I exist and whose life I have nothing to do with

So what do you think about Clancy? Do you believe she should be found guilty or not guilty by reason of insanity?

As a former proggy, I keep warning you folks there is a bigger goal here.

Now it is starting to come out.

They really and truly want to be able to kill you for any reason. If they can justify killing kids, then you are next.

Again: "Your Honor, he said a man can't give birth. That triggered me so I just HAD to kill him".

OK. What does any of that have to do with me?

The whole situation makes me very upset. Those poor kids. I didn't follow the trial. I don't seek out media or "content" that I know will upset me. I don't have any opinion about the mistrial or jury or anything else.

The juror whining about the bottle was a real low point in all of this. Imagine being so desperate to not blame the killer that you're willing to transfer their evil to someone trying to explain what they did.

quote:

women suffering from profound mental health problems

When that "mental health problem" leads someone to planning out to murder their children and then following through with it, that "mental health problem" is not something which should be tolerated by a just and rational society.

There is no "rehabilitation" for someone that far gone and as such should not be allowed to remain within that society's borders (yes, permanently exile them to some shithole country or put them before a firing line, either is acceptable to me).

I guess they need to apologize to the men that were against the 19th amendment because they said that women were controlled by their hormones.

Timing my responses to other posters mentioning me kind of reads obsessive.
