“Johnson has got to go”

No he doesn’t and any self respecting Louisianan would agree.

He will be an asset to this state at a time when we need it.
Idiot Louisiana voters would rather destroy their state to save something they don’t even understand tho.

So what Mike Johnson can do is pass moderate policy.

The whole piece is predicated on the false notion that UniParty® consensus demonstrates political “moderation.” It is a damnable lie.

There is nothing remotely “moderate” about funding perpetual war with money printed out of thin air. It indeed is a radical act of utter insanity that will eventually lead to fiscal suicide.

Exactly.

This:

quote:

Do we want to rein in the intelligence community and bring things like FISA back into line with constitutional principles? Of course we do.

Contradicts this:

quote:

I especially dislike the fact that Johnson broke a 212-212 tie on the House floor and defeated an amendment to the FISA bill that would have required the federal government to get a warrant before surveilling American citizens.

Mike voted in favor of the police/surveillance state.

where did Hayride come from? DId Jonah Goldbergs and Megyn McCain's husband write this coping mash of platitudes?

it was written at least telling it like it is. the GOP establishment caucus have not served the people they were elected to serve for years.

what the author forgot is that McConnell declared America first "isolationism" dead becaise of him and this act of controlling MJ with Schumer.

It isn't dead. It can fill times square a few times over when Biden and Obama have to pay a rent a mob to get 500 people. Sure, Obama sells books because he was historic. McConnell's approval ratings are probably worse than Paul Ryans at the end.

MAGA people are NOT stupid hicks in trailers. They are people waking from being fooled about Bush's WMDs and our kids dying in fake wars that showed it's true face in the Afghanistan withdrawal.

The establishment is real but then there is local politics that few understand. Go to Politico and read the story on Susie Wiles I tried to tell the faux DeSantis supporters about. Casey wanted to be the only hen in the hen house and DeSantis was full of himself ignorant.

This is right out of the McConnell / Ryan playbook - 'we just can't do anything right now but if you give us your votes and your money, dagnabit we'll get it done after this election.' Endless excuses, endless losing, while the nation is destroyed one little bit at a time.

Yep. Is there anybody who believes that the coming election will be on the up and up, or solve anything via 'legislation' thereafter? The Dems have clearly shown total, criminal disrespect for Rule of Law and Equal Justice, and the Republicans stand by with hands in pockets, protesting with talk. Like a spoiled child the Dems have zero fear of any real resistance, because they know that the only kind of 'resistance' that can defeat them, will be the of the violent sort. Hell, that burn, loot and murder when any Republican even tries to resist via fire with fire. And now with the millions of seasoned warriors being imported from waring Nations across the World...guess what.

It won't be votes or talk or legislation that determines the future character of this Nation. It will be the consequences and results from dysfunction and collapse, via the Cloward-Piven strategy of "engineered collapse". Will be interesting to see just how long the USD holds up; collapse of that will likely be the final 'straw'.

The Hayride is a conservative-leaning blog that was started by Scott McKay years ago, around the Jindal Administration, I believe. I think McKay used to be associated with Tiger Rag in some manner or other also.

He now does this blog, and writes for some national blog too, maybe either Gateway Pundit or American Spectator, something like that.

So there's your backstory.

So essentially, Mike Johnson is punting them until after the election, in the hopes that there will be a Senate and a president who are allies rather than enemies, and perhaps a much healthier majority in the House, come January. At that point he would have the power to do some good for the conservative cause.

Exactly. The people will put a GOP House, Senate, and President in office in November 2024. What are the Democrats going to do? They can not blame the GOP for the Ukraine or border issues, now can they?
