Greenland and Denmark and NATO have agreed to it.
Honestly I think it was just to get more bases and the way I heard it, we can choose areas for the minerals as well. As we find them. So that's going to set off a mining boom.

Got some real links for that? Something other than Xwitter hack accounts?

Greenland Deal
Hostage release deal
Abraham Accords.
Border closed.
One of these is not like the others. Hint: it's as done a deal as the ending of the Ukraine War.

Well, the border crossings are damn near nil
Hostages released.
Abraham Accords aren't done yet...
You think Greenland isn't gonna happen or something?

Bro. Go read his book. He started at OWNERSHIP for a reason.
I'm familiar with the concept. This wasn't that.
There is no deal that gives us anything we don't already have.
ETA: Sorry to come in so hot. Maybe things will work out. I just can't get over the fact that Trump claimed to have made a deal with Rutte.

We had rights to the minerals?

What he had the military do in Iran woke people up. What he had the military do in Venezuela got their full attention.
Now POTUS Trump will do what he wants to get us out of this mess. Heads will roll!!

It might...what does that mean though? Ownership?

So by that measure if we build a new base on new US Soil, you'll have to admit you're fricking retarded then, yes? Because real estate is called that for a reason.
We're about to be making a lot of Greenland, America. New parts. Wherever we want them.

Defense deals, from the sounds of it.
I've not followed too closely, but probably some good trade deals too.

We already have the right to have new bases there and control over them. We had 17 there at one time under the 1951 Treaty that is still in effect today.

But we supposedly have the mineral rights without having to buy the country. Which was the only reason to purchase Greenland since we were already able to build military bases and occupy the territory.

What was the procedure to open a mine in Greenland?
Hmm?
There's a lot about this we haven't thought about. Normally we get weeks of Anon's and Karens teaching everyone the approved narratives. This one happened too fast.
Trump just slashed through all the red tape and bullshite without spending a dime. Had we tried to do what he's about to do any other way they'd have drug it out too long.
Just a fact.

Most European countries had long since granted independence to former colonies. The Danes have not. Also the Danes instituted forced sterilization of native Greenlanders in the 1980’s and 90’s according to reports in media…..seems like the Danes wanted to get rid of the natives so they could exploit Greenland….another opportunity for a journalist to win a Pulitzer, but alas there are no journalists…..

He gets everything he wanted and didn't spend a cent. Just let them know we'd take them up on the threat to leave NATO. They settled right down after that. The way he played all the angles on the question when this wasn't a thing six months ago proves he's either the most gifted Politician of his age or he's got God on his side. Or both. Because this wasn't on anyone's radar and in just a few weeks he spooks them into handing him everything he wanted. Mind blowing manipulation. Dude is Machiavelli.
So he got what they would have gladly given us anyway without all the ignorance? Brilliant.

Well, first you deal directly with the people of Greenland. Then, you see if you can negotiate a way around their ban on uranium mining (which complicates mining of literally everything). An Australian mining company is learning all about that right now and is looking at the real possibility of losing billions of dollars. Then, you still have the fact that it is Greenland, has minimal infrastructure, and it will cost untold billions to mine at any real significance.

Not really. Denmark had the right to veto any military installations and we did not have the right to install ballistic missile sites, the whole point of wanting that location. Now, Denmark is reportedly no longer able to veto US military plans in Green-a-Lago.
