I agree, but holy shite wouldn't it be hilarious if the vote failed!
I want the vote to pass because otherwise the Senate doesn't get to try the case and issue subpoenas for Schiff, his staff members, Sleepy Joe or Hunter to come testify.

There is no way Dems hand control of the process and the narrative over to senate republicans going into an election year.

So one would think, but these people are very, very stupid.

Republicans could end this shite today with a letter signed by 37 Republican Senators stating that they will not remove this President on these sham Articles produced by this unamerican sham process.

Pelosi can have her vote, McConnel can have his trial, Romney can puff his chest but we 37 Senators will never remove the President.

The outcome is hereby decided. Merry Christmas.

Yes, the woman who told us we must pass ACA to find out what's in it and the woman who more than once claimed we were losing 500 million jobs a month, is a freaking genius.

The actual articles are very vague.

It is for abuse of power which basically means orange man bad and for obstruction which makes no sense but sounds good.

They did away with actual crimes like bribery or other things which they obviously couldn't prove.

Basically the abuse of power just means he did things the Democrats didn't want him to do so we feel that hurts the country and when you do things that hurt the country that is abuse of power.

It's a vague nothing burger impeachment article which could've been used on any of the previous 3 presidents.

Since it's vague, they can spin it. In the Senate if they stick to these charges it will end will because there is no need to investigate the whole thing.

I notice that neither of you geniuses tried to refute the actual POINT ... that GOP voters are not going to sway a Dem Congressman, while Independent voters may well be able to do so.

The thread does nothing of the sort. It raises the question of whether GOP voters have any influence whatsoever on a Democrat congressman.

I submit if they do not.

You avoided that issue like the plague, probably because you know that I am correct, leaving nothing but childish snark in your quiver.

The outcome was decided when the GOP held the Senate after 2018’s general elections. This is only kabuki theater, calculated to keep the Dem base engaged for 2020 ... not unlike Trump’s endless campaign rallies.

It was addressed. You just ignored it.

Facts are something socialists like yourself like to ignore. You prefer the by any means tactic.

Any democratic representative who won in a district carried by Trump has to consider what a "for" impeachment vote might do to their reelection chances.

Some of the more moderate dems have garnered republican votes and survived challenges in the past. This has to be a consideration for them.

And Independent voters have turned decidedly against impeachment. They were elected to govern, not to engage in witch hunts.

And here you are again, implying that I support this nonsense. You did the same thing yesterday. I asked you to support your claim, and I linked you to postings in which I took exactly the opposite position. You disappeared from that thread like a Wiccan at a Baptist convention.

But I will try again anyway. Please link to one, single, solitary thread in which I have said anything supportive of the impeachment efforts. Just one. As much as you mouth off, certainly you can find one.

I expect you to disappear from this one as well, because you are a liar and a coward.

Perhaps you did not notice that I said exactly the same thing in the third paragraph of the post to which you replied.

These things happen when one does not read the post to which one is posting a knee-jerk reply.
