Lol true. It'd be a battle royale between every nation not involved to scavenge and acquire the tech after the dust settles too though. Putin isn't a Marxist. Not in the sense that Stalin or Lenin was. He is an oligarch, only worried about the rich and powerful behind him. He doesn't give 2 shits about the Russian people.

Enter Trump: I think his plan is not to appease Putin, but rather use him as a tool to accomplish a common goal, which is destroy the globalist elite. Because if the US and Russia have strong ties they can dismantle globalism altogether. Europe has no military and China alone couldn't defeat the US and Russia. It's why trump rails against China. If we destroy their economy with trade barriers and us and Russia get control of the Middle East then the worlds energy supply belongs to us.
