it's a lot less than then proceeding to resist arrest, and then commit at minimum assault but more probably assult with a deadly weapon or attempted murder by hitting a cop with a car to try and get away.

The point is, if you are the LEO caught dead to rights in front of that BS, about to be hit and potentially killed, and you can put and end to the possibility of her doing the same thing to some other innocent person or LEO, you take her out in the process.

She was purposely blocking the road, and waving cars to go around her. When one of the ice vehicles approached her car she did not wave it around because they weren't interested in going around. They stopped and she realized she had pushed the envelope a bit too far. Then she panicked....
