I started watching them when they had around 100k viewers and were mainly reacting to music videos (back then they were still in Laffy and had a BLM poster on the door behind them and they had a 5th regular and a couple others might be there as replacements). They began adding comedians to their "first time watching" videos around the same time they started watching Tom McDonald videos. I think their watching of Dave Chappelle and Chris Rock (from "Bigger & Blacker") was their first toe-tipping into anything even remotely political. From there, I think the next pivotal moment was when they first discovered Thomas Sowell. After that, their social commentary took off and their video reactions began falling by the wayside.

Watching them research things in real(ish) time in order to not just take the words of those they are watching (in the political/social realm) and watching their growth because of approaching these topics with an open mind has been extremely fun.

Oh wow, so at one time they were BLM supporters? They have come a long way from what you posted.

They weren't into political movements back then, I think it was more along the lines of "yeah, I'm black and my life matters" rather than being hardcore locked marching, screaming George Floyd's name, etc. You could liken it to someone wearing a Che' shirt just because they thought it looked cool and may be edgy, but didn't even know the guy's name.

The real key for them, and for anyone, was to go into the political/rhetorical realm with an open mind. There are many videos where they are presented with things they didn't know or didn't agree was true so they stopped and looked it up. Some of their biggest awakening moments came from their reacting to Thomas Sowell interviews and Officer Tatum videos.

Been subscribed to their channel for about a year. Young men like them give me hope for the next generation.

I watched them for years and actually saw their transformation. At first it was just music reactions and then politics. They have opened their eyes and minds to the realty that exists.

I don't think so, he was deeper into religion than the others were (had his own channel prompting Christianity) so he was likely already more outwardly conservative than the others. I think it may be that he wanted to pursue his own religion-based path, didn't want to move to Houston or a combo of the two.
