Is that 45 years of service?
It represents fifteen combat deployments of six months each. Service stripes are worn on the opposite sleeve.

Deltaland I think you are exactly right. That man is a dead serious dude and the kind of man we need protecting the rest of us so that we can enjoy freedom. We need about 10,000 of them in Iran right now.

We must remove Iran as a threat to our future. We aren't going to get a do over if we fail this time.

He isn’t frowning. That’s the expression of gratitude.

I've seen some cool things in my life, but an ROTC cadet getting a Purple Heart citation awarded by SGM of THE ARMY might be top 5. What did the guy get that took out the shooter with his knife?

Can any of you vets even start to comprehend STARTING active duty with those ribbons on your chest???!!!! GOT DAMN!

I would say there is probably a good chance he has.

The suspect was "rendered... no longer alive" by the students, though officials did not provide further specifics, notes the Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette.

Probably multiple kills with bare hands, if I had to guess.

And those 15 stripes on his lower sleeve each represents six months in combat, so at least 90 months (7-1/2 years) of his life deployed in combat.

That's the USASOC insignia, not specifically Delta. They don't have their own unique SSI, so that's what they wear. But people assigned to USASOC Headquarters also wear it.

He is an SMU guy. I'm just talking about the shoulder insignia.
