The Massie issue separates true conservatives from NY Liberals.

After years of crying that Congress does nothing to hold the line, y'all cry when someone in Congress tries to hold the line.

It's not a peace through strength action. It's an action that was taken to degrade the capabilities of an irrational, terroristic, theocratic state that EVERYONE agrees they should not have.

You do realize that one of the main reasons many Trump supporters are Trump supporters is that we rejected Haley, Graham, Jeb(!), Pence, Bolton Foreign Policy - precisely bc it prioritized other countries over our own. These assholes basically became Democrats who bombed shite.

This desire for endless warmongering swallowed whole EVERY ISSUE. It’s all they’re fricking worried about.

I’m a hard NO about returning to the GOP of old.

You missed the memo

This is now the globalist position

I am chuckling at that.

Per this board, the globalists are the ones who oppose globalism.

I guarantee you there are responses by Iran or its proxies that would make them go back on this red line and justify boots on the ground

It is a constant moving line for sure.

I see it as the beginning of something new and they see it as the end of a long-term saga

I can see how it could be interpreted both ways. As I mentioned, every President since Carter has essentially kicked the Iran issue down the road. Obama even empowered them further by trusting their promises in exchange for billions. Given the overall history, I understand why some see this as the end, but for that to be true, Iran would have to fold, and that’s not likely to happen the way some think.

The mere fact that Trump mentioned regime change should be concerning for those opposed to putting boots on the ground. We've repeatedly tried and failed at nation-building in the Middle East. We don't need to make that mistake again.

Trump is indicating his support for the Iranian People. Nobody in his administration is suggesting that we need to take an active role in regime change in Iran. In fact, to a man, they have all stated the complete opposite.

You’re in total lockstep with everyone he named on this issue. This is a dangerous and slippery slope back to Bushtown

Agreeing on a single issue doesn’t mean someone in total lockstep with anyone. That’s not how critical thinking works. It’s possible to find common ground on specific points without endorsing someone’s entire worldview. If we treat every partial agreement as total allegiance, we shut down honest conversation and reduce everything to tribal loyalty. That is the slippery slope

And when omar, tlaib, booker, aoc, the black caucus, antifa, Bass, Newsom, and nearly every other democrat is on your side, what should you do then?

This really is the dumbest argument you guys have, but you keep repeating it. Oh no, Bolton agreed with me. Let me throw away everything I believe in now.

All it shows it which idiots are unable to think for themselves. If Bolton supports it, it must be bad. I'll just do the opposite of him that way I don't have to hurt myself from thinking.

The same can be said about Jasmine Crockett, AOC, Adam Schiff.

Look into why they have that position and realize it has nothing to do with this discussion

Nobody in here is talking about Trump's failure to talk to Congress, which is what they're all mad about

And they've never had nukes, including now

Let me guess, you suck off Obama Biden for Yemen, and you suck off Biden//Kamala for Ukraine, and you suck off Biden/Kamala for sending ISIS into Syria during Christmas, when American was too lazy to give a shite...

It’s naive to think that little Lindsey isn’t already pushing for it.

And it’s contradictory to believe, on one hand, that the deep state is vast and has infiltrated our intelligence agencies, while on the other hand, assuming they aren’t already drafting regime change plans to convince Trump it’s the right course of action.
