I mean, I don’t think the original “LGB” thing was some thought out carefully crafted conspiracy.
More just the media lies ALL THE TIME and is so used to getting away with it they didn’t give it a second thought. They are the media, what they say is the truth, despite evidence to the contrary.

They’ve been doing this for decades. All conservatives have done is concede every single time while declaring that one day they’re gonna do something about it.
The beauty of “Let’s Go Brandon” is that it shows the endless capacity for mainstream conservatism to substitute cheap libtard-owning sloganeering for meaningful political action.
They’ve gotten first responders fired for using the OK hand symbol because some clowns on 4chan started pretended it stood for “white power.” Nobody did anything about them then. Why would it somehow change now? Life isn’t your favorite TV show where you’re 2 episodes out from the end of the season and the good guys haven’t won yet so their victory is just around the corner. You have to go out and do something to stop progressive insanity. And cheap silly slogans like “Let’s Go Brandon” don’t count for anything.

You fundamentally misunderstand the situation.
They could ignore it and let it go away, yes. And while some leftists are genuinely unhinged enough to be bothered by it, most roll their eyes and don’t care.
The heavyhanded reaction is a flex of power on you. They go out of their way to take that phrase from you because they can, because they know that all you’ll do is grumble about how next time will be different and go vote for the next ineffectual GOP cuck in 2022 who will also roll over like Trump and every other lapdog that’s ever tasted power in that party.

It’s doing many things. One that is undervalued is it demonstrates that the Ruling Class has declared that Free Speech for everybody but them is dangerous, that the Democrats and every media platform considers itself an invulnerable Ruling Class, and that the opposition are essentially political dissidents. The Left has turned Free Speech into subversion. They are the intolerant, finger- wagging, anti- freedom, humorless moralizers . Let’s make a bet on how this plays out culturally, let’s see who ends up being the persuasive cool kids and who ends up being the fun- killing school principal.

The real beauty of this is that it was started, and mostly promulgated, by young people. The young people are beginning to see the ridiculousness of the Woke and CRT movement.
