I don’t understand the point of telling us this strategy other than to stroke his ego by letting us all know how smart he is. It makes no sense if he is running again because now the enemy knows he is bluffing so it won’t work again.

Liberals should agree 100% with this comment, but instead they will line up behind Bolton because their ideology has gone from real principles to "oppose Trump no matter what".

Looking back, this was truly the downfall of it all. The hitch is; there was really no way around the swamp. You can either try to populate government with 100% outsiders and lose the full cooperation of the party factions in DC that make the worm turn, or you can try to bring them along with you and hope you can change them. Trump tried the latter, and it didnt work. But the former would have certainly been just as unsuccessful.
Draining the swamp will take terms upon terms, and these leaders will need to go in willing to lose everything.

I would say this makes trump look like a poor judge of personnel for not only hiring Bolton in the first place but actually going along with what Bolton had to say.

Anyone with business sense and has dealt with employees knows this.
Every now and then you get a bad seed that infects your employees. Going scorched earth works, but may not be practical in every situation.
You can tell which posters on here either troll or have no clue.
