The 28th Amendment is in play with Virginia's turn to blue

It needs just one more state to ratify.

37 states have voted to ratify. Interestingly, four have rescinded. But some folks say that states can't rescind. So if a 38th votes to ratify - and Virginia surely will - we'll have a Supreme Court challenge.

LOL as if Democrats would allow a little thing like the Constitution to stand in their way.

ERA is now obsolete because people can identify as whatever they want. Where you been?

exactly!
If you were born with a penis and want to increase your rights, you can identify as a woman
if you were born with a uterus and want to decrease your rights, you can identify as a man

Only 2 States have ratified it in its current form......
But bring it on. No alimony. No more than 50/50 on divorces....and I don’t have to hold a door open ever again!

Is there a deadline defined by the constitution?

When Democrats swear to uphold the Constitution, you know they are fricking lying

I dont have a problem with this.
No fault divorce, no spousal support, women being drafted, and equal paternity leave for men and women?
I am not sure if the feminists have thought this through.

Also, well past time to ratify.

The ERA at this point is more like the MRA than anything else.
Feminists pushing this have 0 to gain from it. Really. Zero.
I support this amendment. Let’s do this.

The ERA just about the dumbest possible concept. We already have equal rights under existing language in the Constitution.
Pure virtue signal, and nothing more

That's right. BECAUSE THERE WAS NOT A DEADLINE FOR WHAT BECAME THE 27TH. THERE WAS ONE FOR RATIFCATION OF THE ERA.

mobilized conservative women in opposition. These women argued that the ERA would disadvantage housewives, cause women to be drafted into the military and to lose protections such as alimony, and eliminate the tendency for mothers to obtain custody over their children in divorce cases.[
If this is the case is it that bad? Men are largely at a disadvantage in the courts when it comes to divorce, alimony, custody. I’d love a more fair system tbh
