Will be interesting to see how the courts twist and turn to say Texas can’t do this while the Federal government enables it.
I can't find any verification. It refers to taking over the city park where the area sits, but nothing about federal property being controlled by the state, etc.
I mean, certainly this is a bold effort regardless of what is on the premises the state is controlling, but it's not as huge if there wasn't some major federal presence now being excluded. I assume the processing center for the bridge is off the park grounds but I don't know anything about the area (just looking at google maps, etc.).

Hmmmmmm. This will be interesting. The Marxist will be furious, but with elections around the corner they probably won't respond harshly. Texas better hope Dems don't win in '24.
Hopefully, this enables other states to stand against the Marxist federal government.

Really I'm not, and I've never been a fan of Gov Abbott.
But... the conditions at the border are untenable, as well as the border's effect on all of America is untenable. Gov Abbott is exercising civil disobedience by an elected official, to a degree unknown since the Civil War. He's in absolute violation of federal immigration law, upheld by the SC in 2012 per U.S. v Arizona.

Things are about to get interesting as frick.
Good on Abbott
Abbot is just responding to blue cities cries for help with the influx of asylum seekers (illegal immigrants).
He's just shutting off the spigots.
NYC & Chicago mayors need to thank Abbot on CNN.

Next step will be arresting federal agents who interfere with the border protections (razorwire, gates, chains, etc.) Texas has put in place.

Let’s see that Arizona case re-litigated under the current court.

This is totally unprecedented.

Will Abbott now be charged with federal crimes and therefore subject to arrest, arraignment and indictment?

Should be repelled, not arrested.

If progressives could get away with it, they will.

Hell yes.
Should have been done a long time ago but better late than never.
Going to be interesting for sure.

Should’ve been done years ago.

It is long past time for states to push back against this maniacal monolithic tyrannical federal government.

That case regarded immigration laws.
Is he arresting people for trespassing? I have no idea but it is interesting to say the least.
Someone needs to fight for our country. The Democrats sure aren't.

Hopefully our (La) new republican governor will send support too.
Yeah maybe he can change one of his big truck wreck billboards to say something about the border
