He’s right. Too bad people from California don’t see it that way. They will come in and bleed Texas dry.

Those people are locusts. Eat their own state and move on to the next one.

Then he’d better break out some damn big fricking cans of cockroach bug spray because that’s the equivalent ... the cockroaches are coming to infest Texas.

They’re already everywhere down there.

Arizona and Georgia as well.

There isn't enough pesticide to rid us of them all.

This needs to be the constant branding of the Rs in CA and other liberal states. "Why are your neighbors moving out of state?"

Don't let them in then. If they are coming to mooch and shite in the streets arrest their asses and dump them on some island off the coast.

No fricking way I'd allow that shite (literally) in my streets. First shite I see reported, first typhoid I see reported, anything that becomes a drug infested area where people are debasing public property or private, they are gone. See ya.

My neighborhood has 34 houses. 14 of then are occupied by California transplants. Of those 14, 13 of them are Pro-Trump and conservative. The one liberal probably won’t stay much longer.

That said, I’m almost embarrassed to admit my district voted 75% Beto.

Cali refugees are welcome. Californians should stay away.

Theyre going to try and do here what they did to Oregon and Washington.

I used to be stationed in Washington, and I can remember a billboard on I-5...The last person to leave California, please turn the lights off.

Hilarious how about a month ago I was ridiculed by stating that in a few years, Texas could POSSIBLY turn blue. It seems as if now, there is a legitimate concern. Enjoy your remaining days in the limelight, repugnicans.

That's a pretty stupid point of view when you consider the fact that Californians are rich enough to move here and buy up all of our property away from us. Guess they did something right

I wonder if this is how Costa Ricans feel when Americans move there

They just go where the best deals are.

The reason S.F. had such a proliferation is they offered great incentives to come there.

So every city on the West Coast would their homeless bus tickets to S.F. - talk about an invasion of migrants, that's what happened to S.F. the last 20 years.

So if you don't want an invasion...you don't offer public benefits like S.F. did. No reward, no invasion.

States that embrace public assistance far beyond public assistance...like a living wage...will get this.

I don't know how best to explain such an obvious statement to you. People are acting like Californians are escaping high taxes but they are simply moving here because they can take a lot more for a lot less. They got to the point where they had more money by the way that they live. Let me know what you don't understand about that

Abbott and other Texas Republicans can see the handwriting on the wall. Texas demographics are changing as we've already seen in the metropolitan areas where there is the most population growth. Texas has the 2nd highest property tax rate in the country, and the new federal tax law caps the deduction at 10k. Also, Cali residents don't give a shite about religion for the most part. The percentage of Cali residents who are atheistic, agnostic, or simply no religious affiliation is almost as high as the percentage of evangelicals in Texas. So they are less inclined to favor Texas Republican brand of bringing God into politics. To find that old time religion means that you'll have to migrate to the areas dominated by conservative white Christian areas (rural counties who elected Ted Cruz).

Its a win-win situation for Texas in my opinion.

Yeah if you fart in your mashed potatoes then no one want to eat them. Just make your living environment unpleasant and then no one will want to move there
