Looks like Trump is gonna go around Congress:

Kind of proves the success of the wall. So they will go to another access point, not protected by a wall, but heavily patrolled by border patrol. Not seeing the negative here.
Exactly. Tiger n DC isn't one of the bright ones. He wants us to just man the entire 2000 miles and have some "technology". You can saw through the wall? You can also shoot a border patrol agent or blow up "technology". It's not easy to cut through steel.
They were better off when they were saying it's immoral.

Just proves again, this "wall" is a waste of time and money.

Again, I was told in this thread that they are smarter than we think and they will find another way not to get caught.
Ya'll should get your talking points straight.

They will find another way in. But if you limit 90% of the opportunity, it's a lot easier to catch them on the other 10%. It's funny how all you people that rely so heavily on the federal government to survive want less spending just this one time

I mean people could blow make a hole in any “wall/barrier” but how long would it take and how quickly would we be able to react.
I would hope there is also a montoring portion of the “ wall” where you could tell if people are trying to tamper with it.
The wall/barrier would be the first line of protection. As with any protection system, anybody prudent person would want multiple levels of protection.

why are you guys so opposed to a wall...

President George W Bush tried to build a barrier in certain places and it was held up by years of legal wrangling and ultimately abandoned in certain places because people own the land privately. This will probably happen again.
this didn't answer my question. why are you opposed to the wall?

It does answer your question. It is impractical.
It it the least effective and most expensive option.
Fiscal conservatives should be against this tax payer funded boondoggle (That Trump promised Mexico would pay for).

neither of these statements are factually correct

fiscal conservatives are ok with 5 billion if it cuts down on the 130 billion spent on illegal immigrants each year
meanwhile Democrats want to send 12 billion overseas for abortions.
