China and Russia are working hard to gain power and control in the middle east. We have one dependable ally in that region and the intelligence and positioning we get from that alliance is extremely important to US national security.
And, as has been pointed out, Cruz was remembering the Entebbe event on July 4th because it actually occurred on July 3-4, 1976, and because Israel has been one of our most important allies in recent decades. People who are "triggered" by Cruz's 3 year old post are the weak-minded fools to whom I'm referring.

Every major power spies on their friends and enemies. We do the same. If you think that makes Israel an enemy of the US, your grasp of geopolitics is negligible. But China appreciates your support of their propaganda efforts. Make sure to protest against AI data centers too, that's very important to China's cause.

Unfortunately, you don't get it. That's what I've been saying. We need an ally in that region and Israel is it. What you're doing by rejecting our ally is put China and Russia first.
