That’s why we are supposed to have free speech. His rights were violated and he should sue the city police department.

An actual civil rights attorney disagrees with you. The arrest was very much a violation of his rights.

he got the law right. He applied it incorrectly. Hell, this banjo-playing yahoo even admitted that he had not bothered to read the operative ordinance.
